Can
we have a Funeral and Cremation?
A funeral typically involves having the deceased person present. Following
the funeral ceremony, the deceased person may be taken to the crematory. You're
just changing the place of disposition, from the cemetery to the crematory.
This is the most popular type of cremation arrangement.

"If we step back and examine the true reasons for having funerals,
we will see that creating meaningful ceremonies when death impacts us can
assist us with emotional, physical and spiritual transformations. The death
of someone we love often temporarily disconnects us from ourselves and from
the world around us. As we search for some sense of balance, we must make
internal adaptations to our new outer reality - someone who has been physically
present in our lives is gone. Participating in a meaningful funeral ceremony
helps us begin to recenter ourselves and make that painful but necessary
transition from life before the death to life after the death."
